This course is designed for general audiences.  The goal of this course is to provide information that helps individuals understand the importance of diversity in the workplace and how to best support it in ways that benefit everyone.  The success of an organization, and therefor it’s competiveness in the marketplace, is dependent upon its ability to understand diversity, realize its benefits, and embrace it.  Organizations that analyze their own workplace diversity and then cultivate an inclusive environment will reap the benefits.

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Define diversity and inclusion, and identify ways individuals are different
  • Recognize the challenges and opportunities presented by a diverse workforce.
  • Distinguish how a diverse workplace promotes teamwork and company results.
  • Identify the elements of a workplace diversity and discrimination policy.
  • Identify the practices that promote an inclusive work environment.

All materials are included in this course.
